PR Manager

to lead effective PR & Communication programs for our

UK business

focused on products, as well as business/corporate and sustainability-related initiatives. The person in this role will play a fundamental role in promoting our LifeWear philosophy to customers and growing the audience of

fans as we aim to become the most loved brand in the UK.


The

UNIQLO UK PR Manager

is instrumental in shaping, executing, and enhancing integrated communications strategies for both product and corporate PR in the market.


This role involves owning the strategic vision and tactical execution of PR campaigns and brand communications in the UK. The

drives media coverage (fashion, lifestyle, business), compelling storytelling, manages complex influencer programs, and oversees the creative direction and production of top-tier events that amplify

UNIQLO's

LifeWear philosophy and delivers measurable results that contribute to business success. As the

, you will lead a team of PR professionals who are focused on new store openings, showroom and relationship management,


What you will be responsible for:



Leading the in-house PR operations for

UNIQLO

in the UK, including overseeing the running of the

UNIQLO

London media and influencer showroom Developing the seasonal PR Strategy for

UNIQLO

in the UK, working closely with the UK Brand Manager, contributing to all product PR initiatives, initiating special Corporate PR and Sustainability projects that generate meaningful exposure & coverage for the brand in the UK. Developing already long-established strong relationships with senior key media and influencers across all consumer and trade/business titles in the UK on behalf of

UNIQLO

Identifying exciting new tastemakers, changemakers and new media opportunities that broaden the perception of

UNIQLO

in the UK and reach new audiences with our LifeWear offering Pitching top tier interviews / stories to senior editors and KOL's based on your knowledge of what's topical and relevant in the current news agenda Drafting and distributing press releases and materials that secure brand/product coverage and features. Developing close working relationships with key internal stakeholders across the EU region, as well as with Tokyo-based GHQ product and corporate PR teams, aligning on all brand communications and sharing best practice initiatives. Managing the overall UK seasonal PR budget, including budget for individual projects such as press and launch events Driving PR & communications initiatives through efficient campaign and project management, including KPI tracking, reporting and data analysis Overseeing and managing all external agency relationships, including ad-hoc PR agency projects and retained agency services (e.g. media monitoring) Working alongside the UK Brand Manager and European PR leads to contribute to wider European PR strategy Managing, mentoring and developing team members to support their growth within the business Working with marketing and digital team members on the overall social media influencer strategy and community building Monitoring, identifying and responding to areas where crisis communication is required. Developing and implementation of the overall crisis communication strategy.

Skills and Experience:



10+ Years' PR experience both in-house and agency, working in a fast-paced environment Globally minded, work experience at global brand preferred. Proven track record of managing an in-house or agency showroom Proven ability to deliver results with a 360-comms approach Proven track record of leading on game-changing PR initiatives that create qualitative positive coverage, building brand love and reaching new audience Able to manage internal and external stakeholders Strong experience in using databases and monitoring programs necessary for reporting, press release distribution and media/influencer database management Strong breadth of media relationships essential for brand building, being able to generate news across titles Comprehensive understanding of reactive communications management and crisis
communications


Can navigate ambiguity and is open to learning about different cultures and working styles. Detail orientated Able to occasionally work out of hours as required (for specific events such as press days, media events, new store openings...) Able to travel regularly across UK, EU region and to other parts of the world including Japan
