Overview



We are looking for a talented and creative PR & Marketing Executive to join our growing team at The Family Chemist. This role will focus on developing and executing public relations campaigns, driving engagement through impactful email and SMS marketing, and producing high-quality written content across digital channels.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced communicator with a flair for storytelling, a strong command of copywriting, and the technical skills to manage targeted marketing campaigns that boost brand awareness, retention, and conversions.

Key Responsibilities



PR & Communications



Develop and execute PR strategies to strengthen brand visibility across healthcare, lifestyle, and wellness sectors. Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and brand announcements. Cultivate and manage media contacts and influencer relationships to drive coverage. Monitor press activity and coordinate timely responses to media inquiries.

Email & SMS Marketing



Plan, write, design, and manage engaging email and SMS campaigns tailored to segmented audiences. Create automation workflows for welcome journeys, retention, reactivation, and seasonal promotions. Track and analyse campaign performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions) and optimise accordingly. Ensure all communications comply with GDPR and other relevant marketing regulations.

Content Creation



Write compelling, on-brand copy for email, SMS, blog posts, web pages, and social media. Develop customer-centric content that supports campaigns for key services (e.g. weight loss, HRT, general health). Collaborate with designers, clinicians, and marketing colleagues to develop cross-channel campaigns. Maintain and evolve the tone of voice and messaging to reflect our brand values: trust, care, and innovation.

Skills & Experience



Proven experience in public relations, email/SMS marketing, and content writing. Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with attention to tone, clarity, and engagement. Hands-on experience using platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar email/SMS tools. Familiarity with marketing performance tools such as Google Analytics, UTM tracking, and A/B testing. Ability to manage multiple projects with clear deadlines. Experience in the health or wellness sector (desirable but not essential).

Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
