The Role:

As the PR & Marketing Manager, you will spearhead the mission to connect with the vibrant researcher communities across the universities. Your role will ensure that medical professionals and researchers are well-informed about the avenues available for transforming their exciting discoveries into market-ready solutions. Furthermore, you will target co-investors and influential individuals.

Your journey will begin by devising and executing the annual PR and Marketing strategy. A significant part of your role will involve establishing close relationships with the existing investee businesses, gaining insights into their progress and achievements. You\'ll then leverage this information to create compelling PR content. You\'ll also curate thought-provoking opinion pieces from the senior leadership team, distributing all the above across digital, social platforms (particularly Linkedin), and regional and national trade press. Building on existing journalist connections, you will foster these relationships further. Additionally, you will orchestrate engaging events and webinars, craft and promote content for senior team members to enhance their personal branding, oversee the website and its content, all contributing to a continuous flow of dynamic PR and Marketing activities.

Requirements:

The PR and Marketing Manager should come with all or most of the following:
- A minimum of 4 years\' experience in PR/Marketing roles, accompanied by a relevant qualification
- Proficiency in devising, implementing, and executing effective strategies
- Proven track record in cultivating and nurturing relationships with journalists and media outlets
- Skillful management of social media engagement and website content uploads
- Innate interpersonal and organizational skills, capable of building communities and coordinating events/webinars
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders, external partners, investee businesses, and co-investors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly adept at crafting content
- Experience working in any of the following sectors would be a plus: finance, investment, technology, healthcare innovations
