The Role

We're looking for an experienced

Practice Accountant

to step into a

Client Portfolio Manager

role. You'll take ownership of your own portfolio, acting as the main contact for clients, delivering a mix of

accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT, self-assessment returns, and management accounts

.


This is an ideal role for either:

An existing

Client Manager

in practice looking for a fresh challenge, or A strong

Senior Accountant

ready to step up into portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review

statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns

. Advise on

budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

. Build strong relationships as the trusted

client manager

. Review and support junior staff with their work. Work confidently with

cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent)

and

CCH

.

About You

5+ years'

accountancy practice experience

. ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE with solid technical background. Strong knowledge of

accounts preparation, tax compliance, and VAT

. Great communication skills -- comfortable explaining accounts to non-accountants. Organised, proactive, and a natural relationship builder.
