Practice Accountant

Maldon, Essex

A forward-thinking accountancy firm in Essex is seeking a chartered accountant who is looking to advance their career. This role has pathways to senior leadership or partnership.

Role Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for a diverse client base. Manage client relationships, providing guidance on accounting and tax matters. Review and comment on management reports and client data packs. Support audits, tax planning, VAT submissions, and other financial processes. Stay informed on accounting and tax regulations, advising clients on relevant updates. Mentor and support development of junior team members.

Personal Requirements

Strong practice experience with a thorough understanding of accounting standards and tax legislation. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work proactively and independently. Audit experience, ideally with previous or aspiring responsibility as an RI. Passionate about delivering excellent client service and team collaboration.
