Fully qualified Senior Practice Accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) wanted to join our growing, family-run home-based practice in Great Hallingbury, Bishop's Stortford.
Flexible hours, hybrid options, supportive team, and great local clients.
About Us
We're a small, family-run accountancy practice based within a professional home office in Bishop's Stortford, providing bookkeeping, payroll, and full accountancy services to a loyal and growing client base.
As we continue to expand, we're looking for a fully qualified accountant who enjoys autonomy, teamwork, and long-term stability -- someone who values great client relationships, collaboration, and wants to help shape the future of the practice.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced accountant with 5+ years' practice experience who can manage their own client portfolio while working collaboratively within our close-knit team.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who loves working directly with clients and takes pride in providing a friendly, high-quality service.

Prepare year-end accounts and corporation tax computations.
Communicate directly with clients, offering advice and support in plain English.
Support, guide, and mentor junior team members to help them develop skills and confidence.
Assist with client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions for new clients.
Manage payroll for clients (PAYE, pensions, CIS).
Contribute ideas and take initiative to help grow and improve the practice.
Collaborate with the team -- we work together, not in silos.
Work both from our Bishop's Stortford office and on-site with clients to deliver hands-on support and strengthen relationships.
Get involved in occasional local networking or business events, helping to raise the profile of the practice.
