Due to recent growth we are looking for a bookkeeper/accounts assistant with practice experience to manage a number of clients to provide bookkeeping and submit VAT returns. The successful applicant will be able to hit the ground running and have experience with cloud accounting programs such as Xero & Sage. Knowledge of corporation tax and the ability to complete small business annual accounts to draft stage would also be beneficial.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Client bookkeeping and analysis of coding on cloud accounting packages
The completion and submitting of VAT returns
Reviewing clients VAT returns prior to submission
Reconciliation of bank and cash accounts
Preparation of management accounts
Preparation of draft annual accounts to trial balance stage
The ability to communicate with clients face to face, on the phone and via email
Communicating with HMRC
Advanced IT skills would be a bonus but not essential
Hours can be flexible depending on the applicants needs
