Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a more meaningful, flexible role in a modern, values-driven, and award-winning accountancy practice?

We're growing and we're looking for the right person to join our friendly, ambitious team. This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder, support a portfolio of small business clients, and play a key role in our next stage of growth. You'll work flexibly between home and our welcoming South Oxfordshire office (OX10), with clear systems and support to help you do your best work.

What You'll Be Doing



Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients - processing sales & purchase invoices, bank reconciliations Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance Take accounts to trial balance Assisting with management accounts Liaise directly with clients to chase records, answer day-to-day queries, and flag issues Payroll admin support Contribute to year-end accounts preparation Help clients stay on top of their obligations with clear, proactive communication Suggest improvements to bookkeeping systems, processes, and client files

What We're Looking For



Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally within a practice or multi-client environment Strong Xero skills (certification a bonus) AAT Level 3+ (or equivalent) or qualified by experience Confident communicator - able to build positive client relationships and explain things simply Great attention to detail Proactive mindset - you know when to solve something yourself and when to escalate Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but enjoy being part of a small, supportive team

Hours: 25-30 hours per week (negotiable) Salary: 28,000-36,000 FTE depending on experience Location: Hybrid -- South Oxfordshire (OX10) + work from home Profit share scheme based on company and individual performance Referral scheme for introducing new clients or team members Support for ongoing training and professional development Opportunities to grow your role as the firm expands
