An exciting opportunity has arisen in Aird Medical Practice, Beauly for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in the picturesque village of Beauly for 2/3 days per week.

With a list size of 3500 you will be assisting our team to provide high quality health care to our local population. Our clinical team currently consists of 4 GP Partners, a Salaried and a Retainer GP, a part-time Practice Nurse and a part-time Healthcare Assistant. We also benefit from an integrated multi-disciplinary team onsite including: pharmacist, physiotherapists, community & McMillan nursing, midwifery, podiatrist, mental health and community link workers.

We are seeking an individual skilled in the management of long-term health conditions, wound care management, cervical screening and other routine nursing skills including phlebotomy and injections.

An independent prescribing qualification is desirable, however we would welcome applications from those wishing to pursue a qualification in this.

All applicants should hold a valid NMC registration.

The successful candidate should be comfortable accepting responsibility, be able to work independently and deliver a high standard of clinical care. They should have good communication and IT skills, the ability to prioritise and be motivated to reach their potential within an innovative and forward thinking environment. We are an accredited training practice and always have a mix of GPST's, FY2's and medical students attached. We use Vision and Docman IT systems.

We are looking to fill a part time post working 2/3 days per week though hours and working patterns are flexible to suit both parties and salary would depend on qualifications and experience. A flexible approach to working hours may be necessary to ensure adequate cover during periods of annual leave and sickness within the Nursing team.
