Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering nursing services to patients while promoting health education and disease prevention, and leading on at least one area of chronic disease management.

Duties

Provide assessments, screening, treatment services, and health education advice Manage leg clinic and facilitate leg management pathway Prepare/assist/facilitate vaccinations and immunisations Undertake collection of pathological specimens Provide appropriate follow ups for patients Lead in an area of chronic disease management Ensure accurate notes are recorded Attend and participate in practice meetings as required Assist in formulation of strategy and policy Undertake administrative procedures Participate in collection of stats for audits Opportunity to be involved with our COVID Medicine Delivery Unit providing infusions

Skills

NMC Registration 2+ years experience working in primary care Experience & qualifications in chronic disease management Ability to work to 10-minute appointments Experience of EMIS Web Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 19.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Work Location: In person
