We are a dynamic and welcoming GP practice serving 14,000 patients across two locations: Ambrose Avenue and Tollgate in Colchester. We are looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our dedicated team and help us enhance patient care. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse and highly skilled team of both clinical and non-clinical professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered, holistic nursing care.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Practice Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

Managing long-term conditions such as Asthma and COPD

Administering childhood immunizations

Performing cytology

Overseeing hypertension management

Administering routine immunizations

Contributing to Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) achievements

Implementing infection prevention and control measures

Familiarity with SystmOne is advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

As an autonomous practitioner, you will take full responsibility for the care you provide, utilizing your critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We expect you to collaborate effectively with the team to meet patient needs while upholding the highest standards of care and adhering to established policies and procedures.
