About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced

Practice Nurse

to join a busy GP practice on an agency/locum basis. This is a flexible role suitable for a nurse looking for varied shifts and the opportunity to support patient care across primary care services. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in line with clinical guidelines and practice protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical care to patients in line with GP instructions and practice protocols. Conduct routine patient assessments, including blood pressure monitoring, wound care, and immunisations. Manage chronic disease clinics (e.g., diabetes, asthma, hypertension) and perform relevant health checks. Administer vaccinations and travel immunisations. Assist with cervical smears, ECGs, and other clinical procedures as required. Support health promotion and patient education initiatives. Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice and regulatory standards. Collaborate with GPs, healthcare assistants, and other members of the primary care team to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration. Previous experience in primary care or community nursing is essential. Competent in chronic disease management, immunisations, and basic clinical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while being part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the practice and patients.
