Practice Nurse Responsible to: Lead Nurse Manager Responsible for: Providing a general nursing service within The Alney Practice Job Purpose: To attend practice nurse clinics, providing high quality nursing in a variety of clinical areas. Duties and Responsibilities To attend either Cheltenham Rd or The Highnam surgery as requested, to provide general practice nursing. These clinics could include general treatment room services including phlebotomy, ear irrigation, immunisations and wound dressings dependent on your competences and qualifications. To offer patient centred, evidenced based nursing.
To document all care given in a clear and concise manner using a variety of computer systems. To manage the nursing care of patients within general practice clinics, employing personal recall systems suitable to the practices needs. This includes using the practice computer systems for accurate and efficient input of data. To work within your own competencies and qualifications in line with the NMC Code.
To develop and maintain effective communication between the nursing team. To work safely at all times in accordance with the NMC, legislative requirements and company policies and procedures. * To attend regular meetings with the nursing team, if required
