Keighley Road Surgery is a well-established, patient-focused GP practice with a list size of approximately 10,500 patients. We are looking to recruit an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive clinical team.
We are a forward-thinking and fast-paced GP practice, committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Our team of approximately 30 staff includes 4 partners, salaried GPs, GP registrars, advanced clinical practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, healthcare assistant, a dedicated reception and secretarial team, an operations manager, a practice manager, and Primary Care Network (PCN) staff.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with previous experience of working in a general practice setting. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering a wide range of practice nursing services and demonstrate a proactive approach to patient care.
Duties
;
Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD)
Cervical cytology
Childhood and adult immunisations
Wound care and dressings
Contraceptive advice
NHS Health Checks and screening
Health promotion and lifestyle advice
Infection prevention and control
Supporting the practice in meeting QOF, IIF, and other quality targets
Depending on experience, we will encourage you to support training and development for nurses and health care assistants within the Practice.
Person Specification;
Essential;
Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP surgery.
Up-to-date knowledge and skills in chronic disease management.
Excellent communication and team-working skills.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Competent in using SystmOne.
Desirable;
Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification.
Additional qualifications in chronic disease management.
Experience in minor illness or triage.
