Job description 18-24 hours permanent role. You will be well supported within the general practice nursing team and provided with adequate training to meet the responsibilities outlined below. Main responsibilities include. Performance of chronic disease management reviews Facilitate investigations such as venepuncture, spirometry and 12-lead ECGs Perform cervical cytology screening Routine immunisations Childhood immunisations Participate in activities to promote healthy lifestyles Improve uptake of screening services.
Administration of intramuscular injections such as B12 or depot contraceptive. Contraception and HRT reviews Maintain accurate medical records Ordering and maintain practice stock of medical equipment Attend and participate in practice meetings and Primary Care team meetings Participate in quality improvement work Facilitate teaching and training of staff Participate in continuing professional development activities Complete annual performance review Complete home visits where appropriate Chaperone and assist in minor surgery and contraceptive services (IUD/implants).
