This is a part-time position, offering 24-28 hours per week, with some flexibility around working days and hours. We are seeking a confident and experienced nurse who can work autonomously and collaboratively within our team. You will be expected to deliver a wide range of general practice nursing services, contributing to the health and wellbeing of our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering a broad range of clinical services, including but not limited to:
Chronic Disease Management
: Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension, CHD
Cervical Cytology
: Smear tests and follow-up
Immunisations
: Childhood, adult, and seasonal vaccinations
Travel Health
: Advice and vaccinations
Contraceptive Services
: Advice, pill checks, and support
NHS Health Checks
: Screening and lifestyle advice
Wound Care
: Dressings, suture removal, and management of leg ulcers
Phlebotomy
and
ECG recording
Spirometry
and
Peak Flow Monitoring
Assisting with Minor Surgery
and other procedures
Health Promotion
: Smoking cessation, weight management, and lifestyle support
Infection Prevention and Control
Support for QOF, Enhanced Services, and Clinical Audits
Essential Experience & Qualifications
We are looking for a Practice Nurse who meets the following criteria:
Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN
A relevant nursing qualification (e.g., RGN or equivalent)
Proven competence in:
Chronic disease management (Asthma, COPD, Diabetes)
Cervical cytology (with up-to-date training)
Childhood and adult immunisations (including travel vaccines)
Wound care and leg ulcer management
Phlebotomy and ECGs
Spirometry and peak flow
NHS Health Checks and lifestyle advice
Contraceptive advice and pill checks
Infection control procedures
Assisting with minor surgery and treatment room procedures
Up-to-date knowledge of:
QOF and enhanced services
Clinical governance and safeguarding
Current NHS and primary care priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to high standards of care
A proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative without needing close supervision
