We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Christchurch Medical Practice.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, supporting health promotion, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Provide assessment, screening, treatment, and health education to practice patients.
Deliver evidence-based nursing care and support chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes).
Administer immunisations and vaccinations, assist with minor surgery, and manage wound care.
Undertake cervical screening, ECGs, venepuncture, and other investigatory procedures.
Promote patient self-care, lifestyle improvement, and preventative health measures.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with NMC guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and QOF achievement.
Support the training and development of colleagues and students.
Skills
Essential:
Current NMC registration with active PIN.
Experience in treatment room procedures, chronic disease management, and immunisations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong IT and record-keeping skills.
Desirable:
Cervical cytology, asthma, COPD, or diabetes management qualifications.
Experience in primary care or community settings.
Mentorship training or experience supporting learners.
