Role Overview:
As the
Preschool Room Lead
, you will take responsibility for leading and supporting a team of early years practitioners in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3-5years. You will be expected to foster an environment where children are inspired to explore, learn, and develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily activities in the preschool room, ensuring that all children are supported in their individual learning and development.
Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate learning activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and independence.
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for both children and staff.
Monitor children's progress and development.
Provide guidance and support to a team of Early Years Practitioners, ensuring that everyone is working together to meet the needs of the children.
Ensure that all safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed.
Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, keeping them updated on their child's development.
Collaborate with other staff members and senior leaders to ensure the delivery of a high-quality early years education.
Essential Criteria:
A relevant Early Years qualification - Level 3 or above in Childcare or Education.
Previous experience working in an early years setting, ideally in a lead or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and child development.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
