Job Description

Use effective communication skills of negotiation, persuasion, and empathy to enable timely and effective communication in own team the wider multidisciplinary team and other departments. Complete a full pre-assessment ensuring ongoing investigations are completed, and results are actioned. Interpret results and escalate as appropriate. Provide medication advice to patients in preparation for their surgery.

Complete pre-assessment of patients both for inpatient and day case, adhering to the services guidelines and policies. Referring any health issues arising from the patients pre-assessment to the appropriate individual/service. Order investigations and blood tests within scope of practice. Supervise Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers with pre-assessment tests and investigations.
