Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Preconstruction Coordinator to support the planning, development, and integration of proposed delivery activities across our projects during the preconstruction and design development phases. Reporting to the Preconstruction Managers, this role is a conduit between the managers and any supply chain in the delivery of the required contract documents and deliverables. The Preconstruction Coordinators' role involves scheduling, document control, and coordination between internal teams, consultants, and the Clients. The coordinator ensures that all preconstruction activities are well-organised, compliant, and aligned with project goals, helping to set the foundation for successful project delivery.

Duties

Accurately interpret and review deliverables, specifications, and related documents to identify project requirements during the delivery of the design development and preconstruction phases of the project delivery.

Conduct site visits to assess project-specific constraints, access conditions, and logistical considerations that may impact the delivery of the project activities.

Support the management of the supply chain in the delivery of the required Contract documents by way of trackers and programmes.

Engage with client representatives to ensure the progress of required documentation is managed, recorded and delivered to standard. Early collaboration to anticipate construction challenges and manage these through the preconstruction & design stages.
Support the commercial department in the management of the Contract, including monthly reporting and evaluation of any changes.

Experience

Proven experience as a Preconstruction Coordinator or similar role within the civil engineering or construction industry. Proficiency in use of MS office software Strong organisational skills with excellent time management capabilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Minimum HNC Civil Engineering
