Job Overview



This position forms an integral part of the printing preparation process requiring all attributes to be kitted ahead of the allocated conversion slot. When effective faster make readies on press with increased running efficiency can be achieved

We are looking for an ambitious individual who is willing to adopt this role in the CCL Belfast site. Some level of experience in a commercial/pharmaceutical printing environment is preferred but not restrictive. It is imperative that you can take initiative with minimal supervision, have a good work ethic and pride in your work.

Roles & Responsibilities



Collate plater, cylinders, gears, die, foiler unit (if required) and assemble job according to the production plan so it is ready for use by the printer.

1. Review specs such as Job Order, Print Master, Proofs, and Samples.

2. To prepare, record ink recipes and prepare inks for the printer.

3. Lay plates and transfer components to press for production. Ensure plates are cleaned after use, returned to their correct folder, and stored in appropriate area. Report any notable damages to plates or dies on CERM and plate/die folders. Return dies to appropriate storage area after use.

4. Responsible for ensuring line clearance procedures are always followed and work areas are kept clean and tidy

5. Perform press make-ready by removing and loading print cylinders, material, lamination, die, ink, etc.

6. Assist press operators with setting up any auxiliary equipment.

7. Participate in Health & Safety Environmental programmes and comply with HSE practices.

8. Ensure the appropriate PPE is worn/is always sufficient where specified particularly where sharps are present.

9. Assisting the printer with make readies.
