Job Summary

The Nursery Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing staff, developing curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education. Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote children's learning and development. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their child's progress. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and nursery policies. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes accordingly. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and physical growth. Manage daily administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and record keeping.

Skills

Proven leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team. Strong command of English for effective communication with staff, parents, and children. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. A driven individual who is passionate about childcare and child development. Experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting is highly desirable. Ability to communicate clearly with children of various ages as well as adults. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diversity among children and families.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 42 per week
