Vietnamese Street Kitchen is looking for a reliable and motivated
Prep Chef
to join our kitchen team and work closely with our
Head Chef
. This role is essential to daily operations, supporting service through efficient prep, organization, and attention to quality.
The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment while taking pride in fresh ingredients and consistent execution.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients including vegetables, proteins, sauces, stocks, and marinades
Execute prep lists accurately under the direction of the Head Chef
Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and storage areas
Label, store, and rotate food according to health and safety standards
Assist the Head Chef and line cooks during service as needed
Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and workstations
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries
Ensure prep is completed on time to support smooth service
Qualifications
Previous kitchen or prep cook experience preferred
Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge
Strong time management and attention to detail
Dependable, punctual, and team-focused
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required
