Job Overview:

As a Preparation Operative at Tiffin Sandwiches, you will be responsible for preparing all food ingredients required for daily production. Your role is crucial in ensuring that ingredients are prepped efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality, supporting smooth and continuous manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and measure ingredients according to production specifications and recipes. Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as required. Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and labeled appropriately. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the preparation area, adhering to food safety regulations. Follow health and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and accidents. Assist in stock rotation and inventory management of ingredients. Report any shortages or quality issues to the supervisor promptly. Support the wider production team to meet daily production targets. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience in food preparation or production environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP). Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity for handling ingredients and equipment. Ability to lift and carry ingredients or supplies as needed.

Working Hours:

Sunday and Tuesday - 5.30am till finish

Other days - 6.30am till finish
