About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Trainee
Mounter Proofer
to join our Pre-Press team. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality pre-press materials to meet daily production targets while maintaining the highest standards in productivity, safety, and quality. You will contribute to the smooth operation of our print production process and help drive continuous improvement within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute daily tasks to meet production programme requirements
Prepare and mount work to required quality standards within time constraints
Sign off on other proofers' work and conduct quality checks
Accurately complete all necessary production documentation
Operate the PRISM computer system efficiently
Communicate effectively with plate suppliers and internal teams
Identify and escalate potential production issues
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Actively contribute to departmental improvements and problem-solving initiatives
Adhere to health & safety, hygiene, and quality procedures
Assist with shift handovers and support colleagues across the team
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a Mounter Proofer or similar Pre-Press role
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
Solid understanding of plate manufacturing and storage processes
Strong time management and organisational skills
Confident in using production software (e.g., PRISM)
Flexible and committed to working shifts as needed
Good numeracy and understanding of production efficiencies

Pay: 12.60-14.68 per hour
