Pre-Print Technician

Bankside Decor Limited are looking to hire a Pre-Print Technician to work within their digital wallpaper business.

Responsibilities Include:

Following a structured workflow and internal processes.

Creating job layouts for various roll requirements specified by the client (both wall murals and wallpaper).

Artworking labels, pattern books, samples and promotional materials.

Pre-flighting customer supplied artwork, correcting any file errors and ensuring that the correct .icc profiles are used.

Working closely with clients on collection sign-offs

Make colour adjustments in order to reach best match between client supplied proofs and final production print.

Processing and ripping files to various printers within the department.

Liaising with marketing design, marketing and print departments.

Creating .icc profiles for new substrates.

Generating the necessary assets for CGI and Marketing Department materials (brochure work, website images, social media etc.)

Setting up jobs and adding new products to the company's Management Information System.

Troubleshooting technical issues within the department.

Requirements:

Good understanding of digital pre-print processes.

Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office in an Apple Mac based environment.

Knowledge of colour theory and experience colour matching.

Proven experience of artwork creation and manipulation to a high standard.

Familiar with ONYX and Xeikon X-800 RIPs.

Good communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills, meticulous with a good attention to detail.

Ability to work both as part of a team and individually, under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Knowledge of AVA would be beneficial.
