Duties
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behaviour.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing information with colleagues, parents, and carers as appropriate.
Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Work in partnership with parents and carers, offering feedback and guidance to support children's development at home and in the setting.
Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Contribute to the setting's planning, meetings, and professional development.
Support children with personal care routines when required.
Promote equality, inclusion, and respect for all.
Requirements
Essential:
Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Experience working with children in an early years setting.
Ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Knowledge of SEND support and inclusive practice.
Experience of key person responsibilities.
