The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated

Assistant Manager

to help lead our preschool team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years, enjoys working closely with families, and wants to play a key role in the running and development of a much-loved local preschool.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Preschool Manager with the day-to-day running of the setting. Leading the team in the absence of the Manager. Ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children. Supporting staff in delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS. Building strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the wider community. Helping to maintain accurate records, planning, and observations. Playing an active role in fundraising events and community activities. Supporting the committee and Manager with administrative and organisational tasks.

Requirements:

Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years (essential). Previous experience working in an early years setting, ideally in a leadership role. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Strong communication and organisational skills. A team player who is flexible, approachable, and supportive. Willingness to get involved in fundraising and community events. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Work Location: In person
