Approximately between 25 and 35 hours per week (part time position) - 52 week contract. We may consider an applicant offering up to 48 weeks a year.
Start date: Monday 21st July 2025,
if possible.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our pre-school for someone who is passionate and dedicated to take on the leadership and development of this small rural Early Years setting. We want someone who can inspire and lead our staff team towards educational excellence for the children. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for career progression, yet still wanting a role in teaching children.
As Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning the curriculum themes for each term and for breaking these down into discrete weekly/daily lessons. The role will also require the Manager to oversee and advise on the day-to-day arrangement of activities and resources and be responsible for maintaining all necessary documentation. S/He will be working in partnership with the Trustees but will be the welcoming face at the forefront of the pre-school.
This will require a highly qualified leader who recognises the importance of child-centred learning. One who can design a curriculum that meets the needs and interests of each child, including their physical, cognitive, social, emotional and creative development. Someone who understands the importance of assessment in informing and guiding teaching practices.
We also want someone to enhance and develop our outdoor learning environment. The children love to be outdoors so we want them to be taught more about sustainability and acquire a greater connection and understanding of their natural environment.
Finally, we want to expand the pre-school so that it opens for at least 8 weeks during the school holiday periods.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the right person to play a pivotal role in driving forward the development of our pre-school and to develop and implement the provision of holiday club activities.
Could you be just the person we are looking for?
