Job Description

Bonnington House Nursery is currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join the staff team in our fantastic Nursery. The Nursery is located in Trinity, Edinburgh, and offers full day care for up to 105 children from 3 months to 5 years. We are looking for a member of staff with previous experience. The position will require you to work up to 36 hours per week, over 4 shifts (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 8am and 6pm with a day off per week (varied).

Our nursery is committed to ensuring everyone in our company is responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or received an updated PVG.

Experience and Qualifications:

All applicants must be qualified to at least SVQ3/HNC level in a relevant qualification and either be registered with SSSC or be able to do so within the first 3 months of employment Senior Practitioner - A very good knowledge and understanding of Curriculum of Excellence and Previous childcare/nursery experience is essential. A calm and caring personality Excellent communicator
As an experienced Staff Member, you are a key member of the nursery team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children.

Responsibilities:

To ensure the running of the room is at a high standard and well supported. Promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues. Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of the children. Support the children's development, learning and play.
