We are seeking to recruit an experienced and passionateEarly Years educator who holds Early Educator qualification level 3 or above. The successful candidate must have in depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and Ofsted Framework.
Desirable to the post is a foundation degree or undergraduate honours degree in early years or someone who is willing to work towards obtaining a full degree in Early Childhood, with a view to gaining Early Years Professional Status.
The successful applicant will be expected to lead teaching and learning ensuring that all children experience high quality early years education.
Main responsibilities
Work in close partnership with the Director, to achieve and maintain the Pre School's vision to provide the highest standards of early years care and education.
Lead practice in the Pe School, ensuring that the children are cared for in a happy, safe, healthy, and stimulating environment.
Lead role in planning, preparing, and reviewing the curriculum in collaboration with our highly skilled team.
Undertake regular audits of children's learning and development, including the statutory integrated 2-year-old assessment. Ensure that all children receive the support they need, including identifying any children requiring additional support and/or Early Help.
Work in partnership with parents/ carers, providing a high-quality service.
Provide effective support, coaching and mentoring to all staff, ensuring interactions with the children are of the highest quality.
Responsible for ensuring additional funding is used to support individual children effectively, including monitoring the impact of this funding.
Key person responsibilities, ensuring that there is an effective key person and buddy key person in place.
To be in charge of the provision and make management decisions in the absence of the Manager.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (full and relevant)
Previous experience as a key person working closely with families.
Experience delivering the EYFS and maintaining an early year's environment.
Sound understanding of Children's development.
Knowledge of Safeguarding policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.
Understanding of the Ofsted Framework and experience of an Ofsted inspection.
Valid Paediatrics First Aid Certificate and Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene (or the commitment to achieving one within 3 months of taking up the post)
Current knowledge of local and national polices and ensure confidentiality at all times.
