Job Description

It is essential that the applicant has a minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification and ideally supervisory experience and a current Paediatric First Aid qualification.

Applicants without Level 3 Childcare qualification will not be considered.

Position will be full time (term time only). Subject to being successful at interview stage, applicant must be willing to have an enhanced DBS check and provide references.

Our Lady of Ransom Pre-school is an established childcare setting situated in Rayleigh and has been caring for children since 1980. Our aim is to provide quality care and education for children, within a safe, happy and stimulating environment, where qualified staff encourage and support learning through play.

Job specification

To work as a key person and as part of our Pre-School team under the direction of the manager. To assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for guidance, liaising closely with staff to ensure effective focused activities are planned and carried out. To set up for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session. To take responsibility for supervising and supporting staff in their roles and day to day duties, taking initiative during the session to ensure effective time management and effective deployment of staff. In the absence of the manager to take full responsibility of the running of the Pre-School. This list is not exhaustive and a full job description will be discussed at interview stage. Please note this position does not include Thursdays as we are closed.
