About the Role

Sach Chemists is seeking a motivated and patient-focused

Prescribing Pharmacist

to join our friendly community pharmacy team in Basildon. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of clinical pharmacy services while delivering high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing prescribing services, supporting medicines optimisation, and working collaboratively with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Independently prescribe medicines in line with clinical guidelines and the scope of practice Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, and medication reviews Manage and treat minor illnesses and long-term conditions where appropriate Provide expert advice on medicines use and optimise patient outcomes Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with GPhC and NHS requirements Support the safe, effective, and legal running of the pharmacy Work collaboratively with GPs, NHS services, and other healthcare professionals Promote and deliver enhanced and private pharmacy services Dispensing medications

Essential Requirements

MPharm degree or equivalent GPhC registration as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber qualification (IP) Strong clinical and communication skills Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience working in a community pharmacy setting Knowledge of NHS clinical services and local care pathways Confidence in delivering private and enhanced services Strong organisational and time-management skills
