CW Fletcher & Sons Ltd are seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated individual who can work as an integral part of our multi-skilled workforce.

The successful applicant will be responsible for setting and operating various mechanical and hydraulic presses up to 400ton, basic maintenance of press tooling, media blasting of components and running heat treatment furnace.

Roles & Responsibilities:



Work to close tolerances on small batch work, predominantly fixture based in a wide range of aerospace materials such as Jethete, titanium and nickel-based alloys. Operate both hydraulic and mechanical presses Operate heat treatment furnaces in line with the information supplied on the data cards Media blast parts to standards set by the relevant data cards Ability to learn multiple processes within the business area The ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings. Operate overhead cranes and forklift trucks for tooling and fixture transportation. Assist with SQDCP boards on a daily basis when required. Have a good understanding of manual measuring equipment, micrometres, internal and external and various other types of measuring equipment. Take extreme care and attention in handling aerospace parts. Maintain a clean and tidy work area Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals. Carry out TPM checks and assist on machine maintenance when required Support preventative action on machines and fixtures maintenance

Experience, Knowledge and Education:



Experience of setting and operating presses. (Essential) Experience in Hot-Working Process (Essential) Have a good level of computer literacy.(Essential) Experience of media blasting.(Essential) Experience of Heat treatment furnaces and processes.(Essential) Demonstrates a good level of numeracy / literacy.(Essential) A good understanding of Health and Safety procedures.(Essential) Experience in self-inspection and recording results via SPC charts and other methods of data capturing. (Desirable)

Ability to work individually or as part of a small team. (Essential) Excellent attention to detail and record keeping skills. (Essential) Effective communication skills.
