We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce precise sheet metal components. Role Overview
The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating an
Amada CNC press brake
to bend and form sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and production schedules. This role requires precision, adherence to daily plans, and accurate handling of finished parts to ensure high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Amada press brake machinery
: Set up tooling, adjust machine settings, and run production jobs.
Follow daily production plan
: Work to scheduled tasks, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
Quality assurance
: Check dimensions, angles, and tolerances to ensure parts meet specifications.
Material handling
: Organize, label, and store finished components for downstream processes.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
: Perform routine checks, clean equipment, and resolve minor machine issues.
Safety compliance
: Adhere to workshop safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
Reporting
: Record production data, report discrepancies, and communicate with supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience operating
Amada CNC press brakes
(other CNC press brake experience considered).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured plans.
Knowledge of sheet metal properties and forming techniques.
Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
-- training can be provided if required.
Working Hours
Standard shift:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
(Monday to Friday).
Flexibility required: Must be willing to transition to a
3:00 PM 12.00 - AM
shift as production needs evolve.
Regular overtime available
to support production demands and increase earnings potential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
