Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake Setter Operator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating press brake machinery, guillotine, fibre laser as well as reading manufacturing drawings and produce components to match the drawings supplied.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Working hours

Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am - 1pm Friday

Responsibilities

Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements. Set and operate mechanical guillotine to cut sheet metal to required lengths for folding. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet production deadlines, helping at times with dispatch preparation and loading. Use basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, angles, and tolerances as required. Use hand tools to (for example) grind edges of metal components for smooth finishes as necessary. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating press brake machinery or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes. Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage in metalworking tasks. Experience with tooling setup, assembly, welding process and preparation such as; grinding, linishing, and tolerance allowances for fabrication of sheet metal is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Experience with Amada press brakes, including tooling, start up procedures, programming (setting) operation and basic maintenance. Pro-active person, with a positive attitude towards collaboration with the team and problem solving together. Forklift license Right to work in UK Can travel to Kidderminster
