Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in fabrication processes. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components according to specifications. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in our production process.

Duties

Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending of sheet metal parts. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate tooling and settings. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Perform quality checks on finished products, utilising basic math skills to verify measurements. Collaborate with team members in the assembly of components, ensuring adherence to production schedules. Utilise hand tools for fabrication tasks, including grinding and welding as required. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, with a strong understanding of sheet metal processes. Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and tooling. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential. Competence in using hand tools for various assembly tasks. Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
