Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with a focus on operating press brake machinery. This role is essential in ensuring the production of high-quality sheet metal components that meet our stringent standards.

Duties

Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the correct tooling and settings. Perform fabrication tasks including grinding, welding, and assembly of components. Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Utilise hand tools effectively for various tasks related to metal shaping and assembly. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines within the manufacturing environment.

Skills

Proficient in fabrication techniques, with hands-on experience in grinding and welding. Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly related to operating press brake machines. Familiarity with sheet metal properties and handling procedures. Competence in using hand tools and tooling necessary for metalworking tasks. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production processes. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
