Print Operator
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is experienced in the printing industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join Minuteman Press Bath who have an excellent reputation for both quality and service.
This position is ideal for an experienced individual in the printing industry looking to do a variety of tasks within a busy and long-established Company.
The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise the workload to achieve maximum output is critical.
The role will cover both the Digital Print and Large Format divisions of the business, with priorities [i1] dependent on the level of experience of the applicant and current workloads.
Large format:
You will be responsible for the production of large format print jobs, signage and finishing for products such as, display boards, vinyl graphics, banners, posters, point-of-sale, boxes, packaging, interior decor and much more.
Computer literacy and experience of Adobe products is essential (InDesign, Illustrator). You will be expected to maintain the smooth running of production including pre-press, sending jobs to print, finishing, and packing jobs appropriately for shipping.
You will be using daily: Adobe Suite, ONYX Thrive 21, HP Latex R530, Canon Inkjet, Valiani Flatbed Cutter, Vivid Easy Mount, Summa Vinyl Cutter and Trotec Laser. You will also be tasked with fulfilling installation work and assisting with installation jobs on-site for our clients. Training will be given on the job and you will be expected to learn as you go. An ability to problem-solve and manage your time efficiently will be essential to success.
Digital Print:
Working within the Digital Press Team, effectively helping to run two Xerox Iridesse Digital Production Presses in line with job specifications and maintaining the digital print facility.
Pre-press using Adobe Suite or Fiery Server
Assist with all aspects of print finishing - i.e. guillotine, booklet making, laminating & foiling machines etc.
Both divisions will involve liaising with customers from point of order through to job completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience throughout. Communicate by email, phone and face to face, offering advice and answering questions.
The role may also include departmental management responsibilities, dependent on experience of the candidate, in the future (salary subject to experience).
Previous experience in a print environment is desired but flexibility within your role and a positive attitude are essential. Full on the job training will be provided.

Requirements
Ensure all work is produced to the highest standard, most efficiently, on time, to expected quality, and to job specifications
Ensure press environment and presses are maintained to expected high level
Ensure presses are kept in working order to expected standards
Ensure all reprints are recorded, monitored and reported
Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workspace and comply with all Health and Safety risk assessments and requirements
To work autonomously in the production of the digital applications
To ensure uptime of presses is kept to the highest level possible
Ability to think creatively and independently, reacting quickly and confidently to unexpected situations
