Job Description
The Lendlock Group are looking to expand their team of Press Operators based in Burnley.
We have manufacturing capabilities with fast turnaround times and personalised customer support. Our operations ensure efficient delivery and the highest standard of quality. We offer all our services in-house, including component design, tooling, pressing, assembly and our unique belt anodising service, ensuring the highest quality to our customers.
As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of transfer presses.
Your duties will include:
Responsibility of checking the quality of components, liaising closely with QC. Replenishing aluminium coils to maintain production. Ensuring press area is clean and tidy and waste is disposed of correctly. Completing correct paperwork ( 1 /2 hour check sheets, guard checks, box and pallet tickets, etc.) Identification and reporting of any mechanical faults to Supervisors. Starting up and shutting down of power presses in line with Company procedures.
Correct movement of products when:
Pallets are full. Orders are complete. Production runs are complete. Handover to next shift
Any other reasonable request from supervisors and managers.
Training will take place on the early shift 6.00 am-2.15 pm.
Shifts will then alternate between 2pm-10.15 pm and 10.00 pm - 6.15 am
A fixed shift will be considered on one or other of these shifts. There will be no availability to work on the early shift, this will be for training purposes only.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.05-14.81 per hour
Expected hours: 41.25 per week
