and part-operator within the company. The company undertakes presswork, metal spinning, finishing, fabrication and toolmaking amongst other operations. Working in a variety of standard and exotic metals including Aluminium, Steel, Stainless Steel and Inconel amongst others.
Responsibilities/Expectations
You would be expected of the following:
Set mechanical presses up to 50 tons.
Set hydraulic presses up to 200 tons (experience on Lagan presses specifically will be an advantage).
Set double action presses up to 50 tons.
Set a series of fly presses.
Operate presses when required (common on development jobs or small batch work).
Effectively communicate with other team members (especially the works manager and operations director) to ensure work is getting completed on time to the required dimensions.
To have good housekeeping habits.
To have good organisation skills (especially with press shop tooling).
To have a clear understanding and following of related HSE rules.
To have a quality-driven mindset and be proficient with measurement tooling.
To have a clear capability of reading and working to technical drawings.
Any additional experience/capability on lathes will be an advantage.
Qualifications
Candidates should be experienced, possess relevant certification and have a proven track record in Press Setting, including the setting of: Mechanical, Hydraulic, Double Action and Fly Presses together with other press shop related machinery. To be organised and able to work efficiently under own initiative and accurately to drawing. Experience of lathe work is an advantage.
Remuneration is negotiable depending on experience and fit.
