Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to work in our ambitious Primary Care Mental Health Services.



Applications would be welcomed from Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists with experience of working in relevant mental health settings. The successful applicant will need to have the relevant qualification to undertake assessments under Part 1 of the Welsh Assembly Government Mental Health Measure.

Welsh Skills Desirable:

This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. To improve access to mental health care for people with mild to moderate or stable severe mental health problems by delivering holistic assessment, and evidence based care to clients within the context of a multi-disciplinary multiagency primary mental health service.
