We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch, Worcestershire.This role is a 12 month Secondment.In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.The site currently offers a 24-hour service, across 7 days per week.You will be expected to work a mixture of days and night shift as well as every other weekend and bank holidays.Day shift : 07:00 - 18:15Night shift: 07:30 - 07:15This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to xc2xa340,211 per annum - depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you'll be doingAs a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Deliver non-judgemental care
  • Build strong links with our partners and stakeholders

  • Registered nurse xe2x80x93 Adult
  • Current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
