HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prison in the UK, housing over 1,500 men. The site offers:

  • Free Parking
  • Gym Access
  • Development and Training opportunities
  • Various shift patterns
Hours: This role is 37.5 hours per week:
  • Monday - Sunday, shift patterns are
  • Weekdays 7am - 6pm or 7am 8pm
  • Weekends 7.30 - 5.30 or 7.30 - 8pm
  • Every other weekend
  • 8 week shift pattern
SalaryThis position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to xc2xa335343 per annum FTE - depending on experience.How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkRegional and national career development opportunitiesOur bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needsSupport from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.Main duties of the jobAs a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
  • Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Registered nurse Adult - NMC
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
