About Laisterdyke Leadership Academy



Laisterdyke Leadership Academy

is a secondary school in Bradford. We joined Star Academies in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.


The school was rated 'good' in all four areas of the inspection framework during its inspection in January 2023.

Who we're looking for




This exciting new role will involve teaching across the full curriculum English, Maths, Sciences and Humanities to our Foundation Set pupils. Typically, children in the Foundation Set have levels of reading, literacy and numeracy at primary age and require scaffolded and adapted teaching strategies. With an emphasis on strong quality first teaching, and supported by highly trained specialist assistants, we are keen for our pupils in the Foundation Set to enjoy a rich curriculum and progress rapidly.



You will be part of a team of teachers and leaders including subject specialists to support curriculum delivery, a dedicated SENCo and senior leaders to provide coaching and guidance on adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils.





You will have:



A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status. Experience of teaching across Key Stage 1 and 2, with the adaptability, skills and enthusiasm to apply this within a secondary school setting. Experience supporting students with significant SEND, adapting teaching and resources to meet individual needs. Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
