We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Sheffield Wednesday Community team as our primary school partnership coordinator. This post is to lead on SWFCCP participation departments primary schools partnerships & logistics.

The Participation Department has 3 key pillars: Primary Schools, Football Development & SEND delivering over 350 hrs of delivery on a normal week.

In this role you will be responsible for primary school partnerships and 2 staff members delivering in schools within the participation pillar as well as logistics for the participation team including supporting the planning and organising of the rota, establishing developing & coordinating partnerships for primary schools in Sheffield, quality assuring delivery, implementing new innovative resources for education, delivery of events, ensuring productivity & efficiency of the wider team. There will also be responsibility to coordinate volunteers and placements within the primary school programme.

The role requires an extremely organised, proactive individual with a problem solving, strategic mindset.

You should have experience of working in education and confident to discuss, negotiate and develop primary school partnerships across Sheffield.

You should be passionate about the development of young people having a desire to enhance children's skills and aspirations through education and football, enjoy teaching and delivering innovative schemes of work to full class groups &/ smaller cohorts as well as leading on large education and football events and delivering assemblies.

You should be confident to support team members with CPD & training as well as experience of 1-1 leadership to guide and improve the delivery standards across the departments coach workforce.

You will be a senior member of the department, championing high standards, leading by example, representing the SWFC badge with pride to support our community for positive change & impact on a large scale.

The Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme branding has a significant reach & the aim of the role is to oversee and ensure high quality, efficient and constantly evolving participation department.

As a result a clear participation department impactful strategy will be delivered across the community programme.

Description - Task Related



- Liaising with Primary School senior leaders to sustain and develop partnership work.

- Driving growth of primary school partnerships across Sheffield

- First point of contact for Primary schools to plan and organise delivery

- Managing rotas using Microsoft Shifts

- Responsible for the primary school delivery team (team of around 10 people)

- Line management of 3 participation team members providing development plans for delivery, CPD and setting agreed targets for personal and professional improvement.

- Quality assurance of participation delivery & supporting the delivery team to constantly develop and strive for the highest possible standards.

- Lead & support on the planning, organisation & delivery of large events (football events & educational events in school settings and community settings as well as at the stadium)

- Support the CPD and development of the participation team

- Monitoring & evaluating the impact of delivery, gathering feedback to navigate, respond and develop to the needs of the communities we serve.

- Coordinate in school events including summer fayres & fundraising days.

- Work with the marketing lead to ensure all stakeholders, members of the community and wider areas are aware of the participation teams delivery & impact

- Quality assuring the participation department coaches to ensure delivery is to the highest standard.

- Support the delivery of holiday camps.

- Ensure all activities are correctly monitored with the appropriate risk assessment and health and safety measures.

- Willingness to improve through CPD and courses.

- The wellbeing of young people is paramount at the SWFCCP, you will be expected to understand and implement safeguarding policies and procedures.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the PE national curriculum across KS1 & KS2

- It is important you have a sound understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and its application in the role of coach and awareness of safeguarding issues when working with children and young people.

Experience



- Working within education to deliver schemes of work & the PE curriculum.

- Line management experience.

- Budgeting.

- Leading educational & sport events

- Teaching/coaching in a primary school setting.

- At least 2 years coordinating full time, part time, casual and volunteer workforce

- Supporting coaches to improve delivery, implementing CPD/training, leadership of the workforce completing 1-1s with staff members to support their personal development and enhance participant experience.

Essential qualifications:



- HLTA L4 or higher

- FA Level 2/UEFA C/ Multi Sports Level 2 coaching qualification

- FA level 1 (or higher) qualification in safeguarding young people

- FA Level 1 first aid

- Degree in a sport related or education related course

Desirable Qualifications & Skills



- Teaching qualification PGCE (desirable)

- Delivery of Premier League Primary Stars in primary education (desirable)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,367.00-27,437.00 per year
