Sports Teaching Assistant
to join their vibrant team.
This rewarding role combines
classroom support
with
sporting engagement
. You'll work primarily as a
classroom-based Teaching Assistant
, supporting a small group of
three young male pupils
(including one with
EAL
) through
1:1 and small-group support
. While these pupils do
not have EHCPs
, they benefit from additional encouragement and structure to help them stay engaged, focused and confident in their learning.
Alongside classroom support, you'll play an active role in the
sporting life of the school
assisting and sometimes leading activities, helping to organise and run
sporting events
such as football and other team competitions. The school would love someone who's energetic, hands-on and keen to get involved with
after-school or inter-school sports events
(paid overtime available for these occasions).

until the end of the academic year (starting in January), perfect for a

Key Responsibilities
Support
three pupils with SEN/EAL needs
through 1:1 and small-group work
Encourage positive learning behaviours and classroom engagement
Deliver tailored support to help pupils reach academic and social goals
Support and help lead
school sporting events and team activities
Work closely with class teachers, the
SENCo
and wider school staff
Create a
nurturing, safe and inclusive
environment for all pupils
The Ideal Candidate
Level 3
Teaching Assistant
/
Childcare qualification
or relevant experience
Background in
sports coaching
,
PE support
or
school-based sports
Experience supporting children with
SEN, EAL or behavioural needs
Confident, energetic, and passionate about
sport and child development
Reliable, proactive and a strong team player
Patient, empathetic and able to motivate pupils in a positive way
Willing to support occasional
after-school or weekend sports events
(paid overtime)
