We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1/KS2 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a primary school located in the heart of Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.


You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:



Teaching and Learning



Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum. Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and attainment. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.

Curriculum and Assessment



Use a range of assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress. Track pupil data and contribute to school-wide monitoring and reporting. Prepare pupils for statutory assessments (e.g., SATs in KS2).

Pupil Support and Well-being



Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils. Identify and support pupils with additional needs, liaising with SENCO and external agencies where appropriate. Maintain high expectations for behavior and attitudes to learning.

Collaboration and Communication



Work effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues. Communicate regularly with parents/carers about pupil progress and well-being. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.

Classroom and Resource Management



Organize and maintain a stimulating classroom environment. Ensure resources are used effectively and safely. Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Professional Development



Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice. Contribute to school improvement initiatives and curriculum development. Stay informed about educational research, policy, and best practice.

Requirements:



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome to apply) A commitment to inclusive education and pupil well-being Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
