Join Our Holistic Team at DRHL @ Annandale House
Role starts: January 2026 15-20 hours/week (initially) Term-time only
Due to exciting growth, Annandale House (part of DRHL), a well-respected and established Alternative Provision in Gloucester, is expanding its team. We work in partnership with local schools, families, and our Local Education Authority (LEA) to provide personalised educational and therapeutic programmes for neurodivergent young people from the ages of 5-16+ where their wellbeing needs are always prioritised We are dedicated to supporting them to transition to the next step on their journey, whatever and whenever that may be.
What We Do
We provide individualised programmes for young people, most of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
We use an interest-led learning approach to lessen demand and increase engagement.
We work closely with primary and secondary schools and families to ensure our support is holistic and effective.
We offer a wide range of qualifications for young people to work towards, as well as opportunities for work experience within the local community, and individualised Life skills and Preparation for Adulthood programmes.
We operate from a beautiful three-floored Georgian building with fantastic outdoor space.
We're looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team in a variety of roles.
We're seeking a
qualified Primary Teacher or HLTA (SEND)
with a deep understanding of neurodivergent learners and a commitment to autonomy-supportive, therapeutic education.
Who We're Looking For:
A practitioner with
experience supporting neurodivergent young people
, including those with PDA, autism, or complex profiles.
A strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Patience, empathy, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to a holistic and strengths-based approach to education.
Someone who values
low-pressure, choice-led learning environments
and can adapt scaffolding responsively.
A team member who thrives in
collaborative, mapped systems
and contributes to emotionally safe, relational practice.
The Details
Core hours: 9:30am - 2:30pm each day (with some flexibility depending on the role).
Hours: Part-time (initially) 15 hours a week
Working pattern: Term-time only.
Salary and benefits: Competitive salary and a comprehensive staff wellbeing programme.
Start date: January 2026, but possibly earlier
