: The role



- The school seeks an inspirational, positive, committed Primary Teacher who love doing what they do.
- To deliver a Year 2 curriculum emphasising literacy and numeracy to ensure future progression and vertical alignment with the school's curriculum. Must be able to demonstrate ability to teach Art/DT to Year 2 and 3.
- To plan and prepare the class daily to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the curriculum delivery.
- To enable inspirational and creative learning to occur daily in a safe and nurturing environment.
- To create and manage an attractive learning environment by displaying children's work appropriately and effectively.
- To motivate and encourage students to embrace the expectations and learning goals of the school.
- To work alongside an established and experienced Primary team.

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- To mark work daily and effectively to motivate pupils and inform them of their next steps in learning.
- To create and provide an evidence base of the learning and achievements of each pupil.
- To communicate with parents positively regarding their child's learning needs and progress verbally and through written reports.

- Be willing to keep up to date with appropriate training.
- To attend and contribute to monthly whole-school staff meetings.

Requirements:



- Must have Qualified Teaching Status and at least 1 year of teaching experience working with Key Stage One / Two children.

- Must have a clear and comprehensive understanding of safeguarding practices and keeping children safe in education

- Available to work 08:30am to 3.30, Monday to Friday.
- Must be available to meet with the Headteacher to discuss transition and shadowing the current teacher before a starting.
- Needs to be flexible and adaptable and a real team player.
- Have an enhanced DBS
- Have positive references that support the candidate's application

Salary: Term Time Only Contract
